Hide the grey bit with lights, it could be structural bumper and not really removable. There is probably something solid under it, you could remove the plastic and bring the custom grille over it and then add the lights. I have a 240Z so I have been considering my options for that.

Insert it's beautiful cat here. Pretty sure the grey bits hide the crash beam so you will need to keep them. The five lights across looks pretty sweet too. On mobile so too lazy to reply twice or insert the proper reaction picture.
